Easy Savory Stovetop Stuffing Meatloaf

by Cuts Food
written by Cuts Food

Easy Savory Stovetop Stuffing Meatloaf is my go-to when dinner feels like a chore but I still want something that tastes homemade and cozy. You know those nights when you want comfort food without babysitting five pots on the stove? This recipe delivers that, with a quick mix, a simple glaze, and a juicy slice that pairs with anything. No special equipment. No complicated steps. Just a dependable, family-friendly dinner that makes the house smell amazing.

Quick & Easy Stove Top Stuffing Meatloaf Recipe

Ingredients and Swaps

This is a classic meatloaf with a smart shortcut: boxed stuffing. The seasoned bread crumbs soak up moisture, help bind the meat, and bring tons of flavor. Here’s what you need and how you can swap things if your pantry is looking bare.

  • 1 pound ground beef (80 to 85 percent lean is best for juicy results)
  • 1 box Stove Top stuffing, 6 ounces, any flavor you like
  • 3/4 cup water or beef broth, for softening the stuffing mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 small onion, very finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning or poultry seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Glaze: 1/3 cup ketchup, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, 1 teaspoon yellow or Dijon mustard

Swaps and tips:

If using lean ground turkey, add 1 to 2 tablespoons olive oil or a splash of milk for extra moisture. No onion? Use 1 teaspoon onion powder. Want a little kick? Add a pinch of red pepper flakes. If your stuffing mix is very dry, bump the liquid to 1 cup.

Step-by-Step Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with foil and lightly spray it. You can also use a loaf pan, but a free-form loaf browns better around the edges.
  • In a bowl, combine the stuffing mix with the water or broth. Let it sit 5 minutes to soften.
  • In a large bowl, add ground beef, eggs, onion, garlic, Worcestershire, seasoning, salt, and pepper. Add the softened stuffing. Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix or the loaf can turn dense.
  • Shape into a loaf about 8 by 4 inches on the prepared tray. Whisk together the glaze ingredients and spread half over the top.
  • Bake for 55 to 65 minutes, or until the center reaches 160°F. Brush on the remaining glaze during the last 10 minutes.
  • Rest 10 minutes before slicing. This settles the juices so every slice stays moist.
  • For mini loaves: Shape into 4 minis and bake 25 to 30 minutes. For muffin pan meatloaf: 18 to 22 minutes.

“I made this on a weeknight with what I had on hand and my picky eater asked for seconds. The stuffing shortcut is genius. Juicy, sliceable, and so easy.” – Katie R.

How to Make Meatloaf with Stove Top Stuffing

Why Stove Top Stuffing Works

Using stuffing mix is a smart shortcut because it already includes seasoned bread crumbs. You get flavor and texture in one step. The breadcrumbs trap juices so the loaf doesn’t dry out, and they help the meat hold together. Plus, those little bits of herb seasoning make every slice taste like Sunday dinner with almost no effort. When you want an Easy Savory Stovetop Stuffing Meatloaf that’s reliable and fast, this trick is a lifesaver.

Shaping and Baking Tips

Shape the mixture into a loaf that’s not too tall. A flatter loaf cooks more evenly and browns better. If you bake in a loaf pan, the sides steam more, which keeps moisture in, but the top will be the main spot that browns. Free-form loaves on a sheet tray get those nicely caramelized edges many of us love.

Use a thermometer. Pulling the loaf at 160°F is a small step that makes a big difference. Overbaking is the fastest way to dry out a meatloaf. Also, let it rest. That 10-minute pause helps slices stay neat and juicy.

Want to try poultry next time? Turkey can be great too. Add a little moisture boost like a splash of milk or olive oil, and check it a few minutes early since it can cook faster. If oven time is tight, try this easy air fryer turkey meatloaf for a quick spin on the same cozy idea. Either way, you’ll still get that homestyle feel from your Easy Savory Stovetop Stuffing Meatloaf.

How to Store Leftover Meatloaf

Cool leftovers until just warm, then pack slices in airtight containers. You can wrap the whole loaf too, but slices reheat more evenly.

In the fridge: 3 to 4 days. In the freezer: up to 3 months. For freezing, wrap slices in plastic, then place into a freezer bag. Label the date so you remember what’s what.

Reheating: Microwave slices in short bursts with a splash of broth or water and a cover, or warm in a 300°F oven, wrapped in foil, for 12 to 15 minutes. Add a spoonful of ketchup glaze if you like it saucy.

Remix ideas: Leftover meatloaf makes amazing sandwiches with toasted bread, pickles, and a swipe of mayo. You can also dice it and stir into buttery potatoes for a quick meal, or tuck it into a skillet dinner inspired by a hearty ground beef and potatoes casserole. Easy Savory Stovetop Stuffing Meatloaf leftovers are basically meal prep you’ll actually want to eat.

Expert Tips

Let the stuffing hydrate. Give the stuffing mix a full 5 minutes with the liquid so it softens completely. If it looks dry, add another splash of water or broth.

Mix gently. Use your hands or a fork and stop as soon as everything looks combined. Overmixing can pack the meat too tightly.

Balance the moisture. Eggs and the hydrated stuffing create a perfect binder. If you swap in turkey or very lean beef, add 1 to 2 tablespoons olive oil or milk to keep it tender.

Glaze twice. Brushing on half the glaze at the start builds a base layer. Adding more near the end gives you that glossy finish and sweet-savory flavor.

Rest before slicing. This is the difference between juicy slices and juice on the cutting board. Ten minutes makes it better. Your Easy Savory Stovetop Stuffing Meatloaf will slice like a dream.

Common Questions

Can I use ground turkey instead of beef?
Yes. Add a splash of milk or olive oil for moisture, and check doneness a few minutes early. Pull turkey meatloaf at 165°F.

Do I have to use a loaf pan?
No. A free-form loaf on a sheet tray cooks evenly and gets crispier edges. A loaf pan keeps it extra moist. Both work.

Why did my meatloaf fall apart?
Usually it needs more binding or rest time. Make sure the stuffing is hydrated, include eggs, and let the loaf rest 10 minutes before slicing.

Can I prep this ahead?
Absolutely. Mix and shape up to 24 hours ahead, cover, and chill. Add 5 to 10 minutes to the bake time if it goes in cold.

How can I make it sweeter or spicier?
Add a little more brown sugar to the glaze for sweet. For heat, try a pinch of cayenne or hot sauce in the mix.

Easy Beef Barley Soup

by Cuts Food
written by Cuts Food

Easy Beef Barley Soup is my go-to when life feels chaotic, the fridge is a puzzle of leftovers, and everyone’s hungry ten minutes ago. You know that moment when you want something cozy, filling, and not fussy at all? This is the soup I make. It simmers into a thick, beefy, herby bowl of comfort with chewy barley and tender veggies. It reheats like a dream and it freezes well too. If you’ve never made it, don’t worry, you’ve got this, and I’ll walk you through the whole thing.

How to Make Beef Barley Soup

When I say this soup is simple, I mean it. It’s the kind of recipe you can start after work and still eat at a reasonable time. It tastes like it cooked all day, but it’s actually pretty hands off. The flavor comes from browning the beef well, building a base with aromatics, and then letting barley do its magic in the broth. If you’ve got a favorite Dutch oven or soup pot, pull it out now.

Ingredients

  • 1 to 1.5 pounds beef cut into 1-inch pieces, see the beef tips below
  • 1 tablespoon oil for browning
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 2 carrots peeled and diced
  • 2 celery stalks diced
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 6 cups beef broth low sodium if possible
  • 1 cup pearl barley rinsed
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste adds richness
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme or Italian seasoning
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish, optional

Step-by-step

  • Brown the beef. Heat oil in a large pot over medium-high. Pat the beef dry and season with salt and pepper. Brown in batches until you see those deep brown bits. That’s flavor. Don’t crowd the pot.
  • Sauté the aromatics. Reduce heat to medium. Add onion, carrots, and celery with a pinch of salt. Cook 5 to 7 minutes until softened, then stir in garlic for 30 seconds.
  • Build the base. Stir in tomato paste and cook 1 minute to deepen the flavor. Scrape up any browned bits on the bottom with a splash of broth.
  • Simmer. Add the browned beef, remaining broth, thyme, bay leaf, and barley. Bring to a gentle boil, then lower to a simmer. Cover and cook 45 to 60 minutes, stirring a couple times so the barley doesn’t stick. The soup will thicken as the barley swells.
  • Adjust. Taste and add more salt and pepper. If the soup is thicker than you like, stir in a bit more broth or water. If you want it beefier, simmer another 10 minutes uncovered to reduce slightly.
  • Finish. Remove bay leaf and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Ladle into bowls and enjoy that cozy steam.

If you love a hearty bowl like this, you might also enjoy my easy dinner favorite, this stuffed pepper soup that’s bold, chunky, and weeknight friendly.

“I made your soup on a rainy Tuesday and my husband said it tasted like the one his grandma used to make. The barley made it so satisfying. Definitely keeping this in the rotation.”

Easy Beef Barley Soup

What is the Best Beef for Soup?

For the most tender bites, choose beef that gets better with low and slow cooking. These cuts have a bit of connective tissue and fat that melts into the broth and gives you that deep, rich flavor we all crave.

Affordable cuts that shine

Chuck roast is my number one pick. It’s easy to cube, browns beautifully, and turns buttery tender as the soup simmers. Beef stew meat is the convenient option if you’re short on prep time. You can also use beef shank or short ribs if you like a more gelatin-rich broth, though you’ll need to remove bones after simmering. If you need a speedy version, ground beef actually works too. Brown it well, drain excess fat, and proceed with the recipe. It won’t be exactly the same texture, but it’s still delicious and kid approved.

Whatever you choose, get a good sear. That first step is where Easy Beef Barley Soup goes from fine to fantastic. Dry the meat, season, then let it sit in the hot pan without moving until it gets that deep crust. Patience for two minutes pays off for two bowls.

Serving Beef Barley Soup

Once the pot hits the table, it’s hard not to dive right in. I like to set out a few simple add-ons so everyone can make their bowl extra cozy.

  • Fresh herbs like parsley or dill for brightness
  • Lemon zest or a squeeze of lemon to wake up the flavors
  • Grated Parmesan for a savory punch
  • Crusty bread, garlic bread, or warm rolls for dunking
  • Simple salad with olive oil and vinegar for a crisp contrast

Want a second pot of comfort on the stove for a crowd or game night? Try this easy crockpot lasagna soup. It’s hands off and smells amazing while your barley soup simmers away.

If you love a thicker, stew-like vibe, let the soup simmer a little longer uncovered at the end so it reduces and concentrates. For a brothier bowl, add an extra cup of broth in the last 10 minutes. Easy Beef Barley Soup is forgiving, so make it how you like it.

Easy Beef Barley Soup

Storing Beef Barley Soup

This soup is a meal prep hero. Barley keeps its bite even after chilling, but it does continue to absorb some liquid. That means it’ll be thicker the next day, which I actually love for lunches.

Freezer tips

Fridge: Cool completely and refrigerate in airtight containers for up to 4 days. Reheat gently on the stove over medium, adding a splash of water or broth to loosen it.

Freezer: For best texture, cook the barley slightly shy of tender, and cool the soup before freezing. Portion into freezer-safe containers, leaving a little space on top. Freeze up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge and reheat on the stove. Add extra broth if needed to bring back that soupy coziness.

Make ahead tip: If you plan to freeze most of the batch, you can also cook the barley separately and add it fresh when reheating. This keeps the grains perfectly plump.

Common Questions

Can I make Easy Beef Barley Soup in a slow cooker?
Yes. Brown the beef and sauté the aromatics first for best flavor, then transfer everything to a slow cooker. Cook on low 6 to 8 hours or high about 3 to 4 hours, until the beef is tender and barley is cooked.

What type of barley should I use?
Pearl barley is easiest to find and cooks in about 45 to 60 minutes. If you use hulled barley, add extra time and more broth, since it takes longer and is chewier.

Can I add potatoes or mushrooms?
Absolutely. Add diced potatoes in the last 25 minutes of cooking so they hold their shape. Sauté mushrooms with the onions for extra savory depth.

How do I keep the soup from getting too thick?
Barley drinks up liquid as it cools. Keep extra broth on hand and stir in a cup when reheating. You can also cook the barley separately and add as needed.

Is this freezer friendly?
Yes, it freezes well for up to 3 months. Slightly undercook the barley or add it fresh when you reheat to keep the texture just right.

Easy Frozen Chicken Strips Air Fryer

by Cuts Food
written by Cuts Food

Easy Frozen Chicken Strips Air Fryer nights happen here more often than I care to admit, and honestly, I’m not mad about it. When you get home late and the fridge is basically a condiment museum, those frozen chicken strips are absolute heroes. The air fryer turns them golden and crunchy with zero babysitting. No thawing, no soggy breading, just quick, crispy, and satisfying. I’ve tried them a dozen ways and dialed in the perfect time and temp so you can nail it every time.

How to Cook Frozen Chicken Strips in the Air Fryer

What You’ll Need

Just a bag of frozen chicken strips, your trusty air fryer, and your favorite dipping sauce. That’s it. If you want to take them from good to unreal, grab a little oil spray and some seasoning to sprinkle on at the end.

  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F for 3 to 5 minutes. A hot basket helps the breading crisp.
  • Add frozen chicken strips in a single layer. Don’t crowd the basket. Air flow equals crunch.
  • Air fry for 10 to 12 minutes, flipping halfway. Thicker strips might need up to 14 minutes.
  • Check for a 165°F internal temperature. If they are not there yet, add 2 more minutes.
  • Let them rest 2 minutes. This sets the crust so it stays crisp when you pick them up.

If your air fryer runs hot, start checking at the 9 minute mark. If your basket is small, cook in batches. You’ll thank yourself when every strip is crunchy and evenly browned.

Pro move: Toss the finished strips with a tiny drizzle of honey and a sprinkle of chili flakes. It’s sticky, sweet, a little spicy, and so good.

Tips to Make the Best Air Fryer Frozen Chicken Tenders

  • Preheat first. That short preheat makes a big difference in crisping the breading.
  • Space them out. Overlapping strips steam instead of crisp. Cook in two rounds if needed.
  • Use a light oil mist. A couple of spritzes on both sides before cooking amplifies crunch.
  • Flip halfway. It keeps both sides golden and prevents pale bottoms.
  • Season after cooking. A pinch of garlic salt, smoked paprika, or lemon pepper right when they come out tastes bright and fresh.
  • Keep the basket clean. Crumbs burn fast. Wipe it out between batches if you see bits collecting.
  • Reheat like a pro. Leftovers? Air fry at 360°F for 3 to 4 minutes to bring the crunch back.

I used to bake frozen strips and they were always a little soft. The air fryer changed everything. Twelve minutes and they taste like they came from a restaurant. My kids devour them. — Jenna, weeknight warrior

Want a dressed up chicken dinner that still uses the air fryer? Try my crispy and nutty air fryer pecan crusted chicken. It’s simple but feels fancy.

And if you like bacon with your chicken, these bacon wrapped air fryer chicken breasts are wildly good with ranch on the side.

What to Serve with Air Fryer Frozen Chicken Strips

This is where it gets fun. Think color, crunch, and something fresh to balance the salty goodness. I reach for simple sides I can throw together while the strips cook. A crisp slaw, sliced cucumbers, or a quick bagged salad makes the plate look complete. If you have a few extra minutes, roast some broccoli in the oven or toss fries in the air fryer first, then keep them warm while the chicken cooks.

For a classic basket feel, pile chicken strips over a bed of air fried fries and add a little coleslaw. For a lighter spin, serve with cherry tomatoes, avocado slices, and a squeeze of lemon. And if you want a sweet finish, air fryer dessert is where it’s at. Those cinnamon sugar air fryer churro bites hit the spot after a savory meal.

Craving more crunchy sides? Try sweet plantains in the air fryer. They are caramelized and buttery, and so easy. Here’s the how to: air fryer sweet plantains.

Sauce Ideas for Chicken Strips

Great sauces turn good chicken into craveable chicken. I like to set out a few so everyone can dip and mix to their heart’s content. Here are some easy ideas you can whip up while the strips cook.

Creamy and Cool

Stir ranch with a spoonful of Greek yogurt and chopped dill for a brighter take. Or mix mayo with a squeeze of lime and a tiny bit of garlic powder for a quick lime aioli. If you love heat, blend ranch with a dash of hot sauce for spicy ranch magic.

Tangy and Sweet

Mix honey and Dijon for classic honey mustard. Add a splash of apple cider vinegar if you like it sharper. Barbecue sauce is a no brainer, and you can pep it up with a little maple syrup and a pinch of chili powder.

Bold and Spicy

Buffalo sauce is my personal favorite. Toss a couple of strips right in the bowl and they soak it up beautifully. Sriracha mixed with a touch of mayo makes a creamy heat that is perfect for dipping. If you like garlic, blend hot sauce with a bit of melted butter and minced garlic for a wing-style vibe.

Fresh and Herby

Try a quick chimichurri inspired dip with chopped parsley, olive oil, lemon, and garlic. It is bright, punchy, and so good with crunchy chicken. A little basil pesto thinned with lemon juice also makes a great, unexpected dip.

Nutrition Facts (per serving)

Nutrition can vary based on the brand of frozen strips and the size of your serving. On average, for about 3 to 4 ounces of cooked chicken strips, you can expect roughly:

Calories: 220 to 300

Protein: 16 to 20 grams

Fat: 10 to 15 grams

Carbs: 15 to 20 grams

Sodium: 450 to 650 mg

Air frying helps you skip extra oil while keeping the outside crunch you want. If you are watching sodium, look for lower-salt brands and use dips with less salt, like yogurt based sauces or fresh salsa.

Common Questions

Do I need to thaw the strips first?

Nope. Cook them straight from the freezer. Thawing can make the breading soggy, so frozen to fryer is the way to go.

Why are my strips not crispy?

They likely need more space. Cook in a single layer and avoid stacking. Also make sure to preheat and flip halfway.

What temperature works best?

375°F is my sweet spot for crisp outside and juicy inside. If your fryer runs cool, go up to 390°F and shave a minute off the time.

How do I keep leftovers crispy?

Reheat in the air fryer at 360°F for 3 to 4 minutes. Microwaves soften the breading, so the air fryer is better.

Can I season them before cooking?

Most frozen strips are pre seasoned. For extra flavor, season lightly right after cooking while they are hot so it sticks.

A cozy little wrap up for crispy strip lovers

That’s my whole playbook for Easy Frozen Chicken Strips Air Fryer nights. Keep the basket hot, don’t crowd it, flip once, and spice them up at the end. Add a couple of sauces and a quick side, and dinner is done in under 20 minutes. Crispy Garlic Butter Air Fryer Shrimp Recipe

by Cuts Food
written by Cuts Food

Crispy Garlic Butter Air Fryer Shrimp is what I make when I want something fast, fancy, and unbelievably delicious with almost no cleanup. Maybe you’ve had one of those nights where you’re hungry, you still want something special, but you don’t want to babysit a skillet. This recipe solves that. It’s buttery, garlicky, and just crisp enough on the edges to make you keep snacking straight from the basket. I’ll show you the exact steps, plus tricks so your shrimp come out juicy every time. Ready to make dinner the easiest part of your day?

How to Cook Shrimp in the Air Fryer Step by Step

What You’ll Need

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined, tails on or off
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch for light crisp edges
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt, plus more to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 to 4 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice, plus extra lemon wedges for serving
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • Optional: a pinch of red pepper flakes for heat

Step-by-Step Directions

  • Prep the shrimp: If frozen, thaw completely and pat very dry. Extra moisture causes steaming instead of crisping.
  • Season: In a bowl, toss shrimp with olive oil, cornstarch, paprika, salt, and pepper. The cornstarch gives those lovely crisp edges without breading.
  • Preheat: Heat the air fryer to 400°F. A hot basket helps with browning.
  • Cook: Arrange shrimp in a single layer. Air fry 6 to 8 minutes, flipping halfway. Shrimp are done when they curl into a loose C-shape and turn opaque with a light pink color.
  • Make the garlic butter: While the shrimp cook, melt butter in a small pan over low heat. Stir in garlic and cook 30 to 60 seconds until fragrant, not browned. Add lemon juice, parsley, and red pepper flakes if using.
  • Toss and finish: Transfer hot shrimp to a bowl and pour the garlic butter over the top. Toss quickly so the butter coats every nook and cranny. Taste and add a pinch more salt or lemon if needed.

That’s it. Crispy Garlic Butter Air Fryer Shrimp in under 15 minutes start to finish. If you love cooking this way, you can find more ideas in my air fryer collection for quick weeknight wins. It’s a lifesaver.

I could give you a dozen reasons, but here are the big ones. First, the air fryer locks in juiciness while giving the edges that slight crisp bite we all crave. Second, this method is almost impossible to mess up. You’re not juggling a hot skillet and butter splatter. Third, the flavor hits hard in the best way. Fresh garlic, melty butter, bright lemon, and a whisper of paprika make every bite feel restaurant-worthy.

Fourth, cleanup is minimal. One bowl, one basket. Fifth, it’s flexible. Toss it on pasta, a salad, or rice, or eat it straight from the bowl. I’ve used this base recipe for shrimp tacos and even a quick shrimp scampi bowl. Finally, it’s fast. We’re talking a legit dinner in minutes. When friends drop by, I can whip up Crispy Garlic Butter Air Fryer Shrimp while we chat and no one waits long.

“Tried this on a busy weeknight and it tasted like a special occasion. Perfectly seasoned and so juicy. Adding it to my regular rotation.”

If you want to plan a full-on seafood night, you could pair this with something fun like these grilled lobster tails with herb garlic butter. Talk about a crowd-pleaser.

What to Serve with Air-Fried Garlic Butter Shrimp?

Let’s keep this simple and satisfying. Here are a few sides and pairings that always work with the buttery, garlicky vibe of the shrimp.

  • Crusty bread or this quick air fryer cheesy garlic bread for dunking in the sauce.
  • Steamed jasmine rice or lemony couscous for a light base.
  • Fresh green salad with a squeeze of lemon and olive oil.
  • Buttery noodles or angel hair pasta with a sprinkle of parmesan.
  • Roasted veggies like asparagus, broccoli, or zucchini.
  • Brunch spin: eggs over easy and crispy breakfast potatoes.

When I’m going casual, I serve the shrimp right out of the bowl with lemon wedges and a quick salad. If I want a cozy dinner, I toss them over pasta and let the garlic butter do the saucing. Either way, the shrimp shine.

Tips for Making Air Fryer Garlic Butter Shrimp

Size matters. Large or extra-large shrimp cook best in the air fryer. Smaller shrimp can overcook quickly, so shave a minute off the time if you’re using them.

Dry the shrimp really well. This is how you get that lightly crisp exterior. Damp shrimp steam, and steamed shrimp stay soft.

Don’t crowd the basket. Give the shrimp some space so the hot air can circulate and brown the edges. If you double the recipe, cook in batches.

Use gentle heat for the garlic. You want fragrant garlic, not browned or bitter garlic. Melt the butter low and slow, add the garlic, and pull it off the heat as soon as it smells amazing.

Add lemon at the end. When you cook citrus too long, the flavor dulls. A quick squeeze at the finish brightens everything up.

Check for doneness by shape and color. Perfect shrimp curl into a loose C. If they curl all the way into an O, they’re overcooked. They should be opaque, pink, and tender.

Want a full seafood feast? Start with a cozy bowl of this crab and shrimp seafood bisque, then bring out the shrimp hot from the basket. Easy hosting win.

How to Make Garlic Butter Sauce for Shrimp?

The sauce is simple, but a few small choices make it memorable. I use four tablespoons of butter for one pound of shrimp, which creates enough gloss to coat without feeling heavy. Mince fresh garlic very fine so it softens and perfumes the butter quickly. I like three to four cloves, but you can adjust based on how bold you want it.

Set a small pan over low heat and melt the butter. Stir in the garlic and cook for 30 to 60 seconds. If the garlic starts to sizzle hard, pull the pan off the heat. Add a tablespoon of fresh lemon juice and a tablespoon of chopped parsley. Taste. If you want a bit of heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes. I also add a small pinch of salt to sharpen the flavors, especially if I used unsalted butter.

Pour the warm sauce over the hot shrimp right away. The heat helps the shrimp drink up the flavor. Toss, taste, and adjust the salt and lemon. You want a balance of buttery richness, garlicky depth, and bright citrus. This is where the magic happens for Crispy Garlic Butter Air Fryer Shrimp. I sometimes grate a little lemon zest over the top too, which makes the whole kitchen smell like sunshine and seafood.

Common Questions

Do I need to thaw frozen shrimp first?
Yes. Thaw completely and pat dry for the best texture. If you cook from frozen, the shrimp release water and won’t crisp nicely.

How long do leftovers keep?
Up to 2 days in the fridge. Reheat briefly in the air fryer at 350°F for 2 to 3 minutes or in a skillet over low heat with a dab of butter.

Can I use pre-cooked shrimp?
You can, but reduce the air fryer time to 2 to 3 minutes just to warm them. The flavor is still good, but raw shrimp give better texture.

Is cornstarch required?
No, but it helps create that light, crisp edge. If you skip it, still pat the shrimp very dry and preheat well.

What size shrimp should I buy?
Large or extra-large, labeled 16/20 or 21/25 per pound. They’re easier to cook evenly and stay juicy.

Deliciously Crispy Air Fryer Pork Belly Bites

by Cuts Food
written by Cuts Food

Air Fryer Pork Belly Bites are the answer when you want something crispy, juicy, and ridiculously easy to make. You know those evenings when you want a big win in the flavor department without babysitting a skillet the whole time? This snacky little recipe saves the day. The bites pack big crunch, big porky flavor, and a soft, melty interior. Even better, they are simple to prep and perfect for game night, movie night, or whenever your cravings hit. If you love experimenting, peek at more ideas in my air fryer recipe collection.

What is Pork Belly?

Pork belly is a flat, fatty cut from the underside of the pig. It is the same cut used to make bacon, but it is unsmoked and unsliced when you buy it as a slab. That means you’re getting layers of fat and meat that turn into that glorious combo of crispy edges and tender center when cooked right. The fat renders slowly, basting the meat as it cooks.

In other words, it’s built for crunch. If you’ve ever seen cubes of pork with golden crackly edges at a restaurant and wondered how they did it, you’re in the neighborhood. At home, the air fryer makes the process faster and cleaner. You’ll love the payoff, especially with a sticky glaze.

Why this cut works in the air fryer

The air fryer circulates hot air around each piece, so the surface dries and crisps while the inside stays juicy. Pork belly has enough fat to protect itself from drying out, and the high heat helps render that fat into flavor. The result feels like you worked for hours when it really took under 30 minutes of active time.

And if you’re curious, the recipe I share here is my go to for Deliciously Crispy Air Fryer Pork Belly Bites. It’s weeknight friendly, party friendly, and picky eater approved.

Deliciously Crispy Air Fryer Pork Belly Bites

Helpful Tips

Crispness keys

  • Pat dry very well. Moisture is the enemy of crunch. Use paper towels to blot the pork belly cubes until they feel dry.
  • Cut evenly. Aim for 1 inch cubes. Smaller pieces can burn fast and larger pieces won’t crisp as well.
  • Season simply first. Salt and pepper bring out the natural flavor. Add spices and sauces after you get the texture right.
  • Use a tiny pinch of baking powder. This is optional, but it helps the surface crisp. Just a pinch in the dry rub does the trick.
  • Preheat the air fryer. A hot basket gives you that initial sizzle that sets the crust.
  • Do not overcrowd. Space the cubes so air can move all around. Cook in batches if needed.
  • Flip halfway. It’s a small move that gives you even browning.
  • Glaze at the end. If you brush on sauce too early, sugar can burn. Glaze in the last minutes or toss right after cooking.

Serve these with something crunchy on the side, like these crispy air fryer fried pickles. It’s a winning combo with something cool and creamy to dip.

My brother tried a batch and said, I do not even need dinner now, just a pile of these and some napkins. He is not wrong. The crunch is wild.

One more tip: line the air fryer drawer with a perforated parchment sheet for easier cleanup, but make sure air can still flow. Or just wipe the basket with a thin coat of oil on a paper towel to prevent sticking.

Deliciously Crispy Air Fryer Pork Belly Bites

How to Make Air Fryer Pork Belly Bites

Here is the simple routine I follow for Deliciously Crispy Air Fryer Pork Belly Bites. It is about prep, patience, and a final quick glaze. That is it.

Step by step

1) Trim and cut: Trim any ragged bits, then cut pork belly into even 1 inch cubes. Keep the skin on if your slab has it and you like a firmer, crackly bite. If you prefer softer texture, go skinless.

2) Pat dry: Blot thoroughly. I like to set the cubes on a rack in the fridge for 20 to 30 minutes to air dry while I mix the seasoning. You’ll see better browning this way.

3) Season: Toss with 1 teaspoon kosher salt, 1 teaspoon black pepper, 1 teaspoon smoked paprika, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, and a tiny pinch of baking powder. Add 1 teaspoon brown sugar if you want a subtle caramel note. You can use a drizzle of neutral oil, but with pork belly it is optional.

4) Preheat: Heat the air fryer to 400 F for 3 to 5 minutes. Hot basket, happy crunch.

5) Arrange and cook: Spread the pork belly in a single layer, leaving gaps between pieces. Cook at 400 F for 10 minutes. Shake or flip. Cook another 8 to 12 minutes, depending on your air fryer and the size of the cubes. You’re looking for deep golden edges and internal temp around 195 F for ultra tender bites.

6) Optional glaze: In a small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons honey, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 teaspoon rice vinegar, and 1 teaspoon sriracha. Toss the hot bites in the glaze and return to the basket for 1 to 2 minutes to set. Glazing after cooking keeps the exterior sticky and crisp instead of soggy.

Sauce options

Go classic with barbecue sauce, keep it simple with a sprinkle of sea salt and lime, or go sweet heat with honey chili. I also love a creamy dip like garlic aioli or a spicy mayo. Whatever you choose, keep it light so you do not cover up the porky goodness.

All done. You just made Deliciously Crispy Air Fryer Pork Belly Bites that taste like a restaurant snack and feel good enough for a party platter.

Ingredients and Equipment

Here is what I use to keep things easy and consistent. Keeping the list short lets the pork belly shine. If you want other pork dinner ideas for later, this honey garlic boneless pork chops recipe hits the spot on busy weeknights.

  • 2 pounds pork belly, skin on or off, cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt and 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar optional, for a hint of caramelization
  • Pinch of baking powder optional, for extra crisping
  • Glaze: 2 tablespoons honey, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 teaspoon rice vinegar, 1 teaspoon sriracha, or your favorite barbecue sauce
  • Equipment: air fryer, tongs, paper towels, small bowl for glaze, instant read thermometer if you like precision

Ingredient swaps: Try a sweet and spicy rub with chili powder and brown sugar, or go savory with five spice and a touch of white pepper. You can also use maple instead of honey. If you want a full pork dinner to share another day, this cozy cranberry apple stuffed pork loin is festive and simple.

Storage and Reheating

If you somehow have leftovers, you’re in luck. These bites store well and reheat beautifully with a little care.

Freezing tips

Let the pork belly cool completely, then transfer to an airtight container or freezer bag. Press out the air and freeze for up to 2 months. If you want to meal prep, freeze in small portions so you can reheat only what you need.

Fridge: Store in a sealed container for up to 4 days. They’ll firm up a little, which actually helps them re crisp better.

Reheating: Air fryer at 375 F for 4 to 6 minutes, shaking once. Oven at 400 F for 8 to 10 minutes on a rack. Skillet works too, medium heat, no extra oil, just let the fat re render and crisp. Avoid the microwave if you can. It softens the crust.

Refresh the glaze: If you like them saucy, warm a little extra sauce and toss after reheating. That pop of fresh flavor brings them back to life.

Serving leftovers with a bright side or a fresh bowl always helps. If you want something different one night, try a quick salmon bowl like this teriyaki salmon bowl and keep the pork belly for snacks the next day.

Common Questions

Do I need to remove the skin?
No. Skin on gives a firmer, crackly bite. Skinless is softer and melts more. Choose what you prefer. If your slab is very thick skinned, score it lightly to help rendering.

Why are my bites smoking in the air fryer?
Pork belly releases fat. Empty the drip tray halfway if needed and cook at 390 F instead of 400 F. A small splash of water in the bottom of the drawer can reduce smoking too.

Can I marinate instead of using a dry rub?
Yes, but keep it short, 30 to 60 minutes. Blot dry after marinating so they still crisp. Sauces with lots of sugar can burn, so glaze near the end.

How do I know they are done?
Visually, you want deep golden edges. Internally, 190 to 200 F gives a tender, shreddy bite. If you like them slightly less soft, pull at 180 to 185 F.

What should I serve with them?
Crisp slaw, rice bowls, or roasted veggies are great. If you want to keep the air fryer party going, peek at my other ideas in the air fryer collection.

Crispy & Juicy Air Fryer Pecan-Crusted Chicken That’s Oil-Free

by Cuts Food
written by Cuts Food

Crispy & Juicy Air Fryer Pecan-Crusted Chicken Without the Oil. If you’ve ever craved crunchy chicken with a golden crust but didn’t want the mess or heaviness of deep frying, this recipe is for you. It’s fast, weeknight-friendly, and honestly kind of addictive in the best way. The pecans add a toasty sweetness that makes the chicken taste special without a lot of work. I make this when I want something that feels cozy but still light. Let me show you my go-to method so you can nail it on the first try.

Why You’ll Love These Pecan Crusted Chicken Tenders

Here’s the honest truth. When I first tried pecans as a crust, I expected them to burn or fall off. But the air fryer saves the day. The chicken turns out juicy inside with a crisp shell that’s almost shattery. The nutty flavor brings a little warmth and richness, even though there’s no oil involved. It’s the kind of dinner that makes people ask for seconds.

These tenders are quick to prep, fast to cook, and super versatile. They’re awesome for busy nights or low-key weekends. You can serve them with a simple salad or tuck them into wraps with crunchy slaw and a drizzle of honey mustard. And yes, kids love them too.

If you’re into easy air fryer dinners, you’ll also like exploring more ideas on my go-to resource for quick meals in the air fryer. Take a peek at the air fryer recipe collection for new favorites to rotate in each week.

Most of all, this recipe satisfies that crave-worthy crunch while staying lighter. It’s everything I love about real comfort food done simply at home. If you’re looking for the perfect way to enjoy Crispy & Juicy Air Fryer Pecan-Crusted Chicken That’s Oil-Free, this is the one to try first.
Crispy & Juicy Air Fryer Pecan-Crusted Chicken That’s Oil-Free

Ingredients and Substitutions

Keep it simple. These are pantry staples plus one star ingredient. You won’t miss the oil, promise.

  • Chicken: Use chicken tenders or boneless skinless breasts sliced into strips. Thighs work too if you prefer dark meat.
  • Pecans: Raw pecans are best. Pulse them in a food processor until they’re finely chopped but not powdery.
  • Breadcrumbs: Panko for max crunch. Gluten-free panko works well too.
  • Seasoning: Garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, pepper. Keep it simple for balance.
  • Eggs or Greek yogurt: Egg wash helps the crust stick. For dairy lovers, 2 tablespoons of Greek yogurt whisked with water is a great alternative.
  • Mustard: A teaspoon of Dijon in the egg mix adds tang and helps bind.
  • Maple or honey (optional): A light drizzle after cooking adds a sweet finish.

Substitutions are easy. Walnuts, almonds, or hazelnuts can stand in for pecans. If nuts are off the table, use crushed cornflakes and extra panko for crunch. No eggs? Use aquafaba or whisked non-dairy yogurt. You can also swap in turkey cutlets or tofu if you want to change up the protein.

If you like this style of crispy comfort, you might also love these crispy Parmesan chicken tenders for another satisfying dinner that brings the crunch without a complicated process.

“Made these on a Tuesday night and my kids asked if we could have them again the next day. The pecan crust gets super crisp in the air fryer. Five stars from my family.”

With these basics and swaps, you’re already set up for Crispy & Juicy Air Fryer Pecan-Crusted Chicken That’s Oil-Free at home tonight.
Crispy & Juicy Air Fryer Pecan-Crusted Chicken Without the Oil

Optional Variations and Dietary Adaptions

Make it your own. The base is flexible and friendly to different needs.

Gluten-free: Choose gluten-free panko and check your mustard and spice labels. Everything else stays the same.

Dairy-free: Use eggs or aquafaba for binding. No dairy required.

Spice it up: Add cayenne, chipotle powder, or chili flakes to the pecan mix. You can also stir hot sauce into the egg wash.

Herb-crusted: Mix in dried thyme or Italian seasoning for a more savory vibe. Lemon zest is fantastic too.

Slightly sweet: Add a teaspoon of brown sugar to the pecan mix and finish with a light honey drizzle.

Protein swaps: Thin turkey cutlets are great here. If you want a non-chicken night, try tofu for a crunchy twist, similar to this crispy favorite: air fryer salt and pepper tofu.

Craving variety? If you enjoy chicken in different ways, these bacon-wrapped air fryer chicken breasts are pure comfort on a plate and super easy.

Tips for the Best Breaded Chicken

These simple steps make a big difference. I stick to them every time for reliable results.

  • Pat dry first: Dry chicken helps the coating stick.
  • Go fine, not dusty: Pulse pecans until fine with a few small bits for texture. Too powdery equals a heavy crust.
  • Season in layers: Lightly season the chicken, then season the pecan-breadcrumb mix too. Balanced flavor beats salty spots.
  • Press the coating: After dipping in egg, firmly press into the pecan mixture so it adheres well.
  • Preheat the air fryer: Hot basket equals instant crunch. Three minutes is enough for most models.
  • Don’t crowd: Leave space between strips so air circulates. Do two batches if needed.
  • Flip once: Flip halfway so both sides crisp evenly. If your air fryer runs hot, reduce time a touch.
  • Check doneness: Aim for 165 F internal temp. Juicy beats overcooked every time.
  • Rest a minute: Let the chicken sit a couple minutes so the crust sets.

Follow these and your Crispy & Juicy Air Fryer Pecan-Crusted Chicken That’s Oil-Free will come out beautifully crunchy and tender inside every single time.

How To Store, Freeze & Reheat

Store: Let the chicken cool completely on a rack so the bottom doesn’t steam. Move to an airtight container and refrigerate up to 3 days.

Freeze: Lay cooked tenders on a baking sheet and freeze until solid. Transfer to a freezer bag and label. They’ll keep well for about 2 months without losing texture.

Reheat: Air fryer at 360 F for 5 to 7 minutes brings the crunch back. You can reheat from frozen at 320 F for 10 to 12 minutes, then bump to 380 F for 2 minutes to crisp. The oven works too if you’re reheating a big batch.

For a simple oven approach on another night, here’s my go-to oven baked chicken breast recipe that stays juicy and flavorful without fuss.

And if you’re already running the air fryer, you can toss in an easy crunchy side. I like these air fryer fried pickles while the chicken rests for a few minutes. They keep that crispy theme going.

Common Questions

Do I need any oil at all?

Nope. The air fryer circulates hot air that crisps the pecan and breadcrumb coating on its own. If your basket tends to stick, a light spritz of avocado oil on the basket is fine, but the chicken itself doesn’t need oil.

How do I keep the pecan crust from falling off?

Pat the chicken dry, dip in egg or yogurt mixture, then firmly press into the pecan coating. Let the breaded pieces rest for 5 minutes before cooking. That short rest helps the crust adhere.

What if I don’t have a food processor?

Use a zip-top bag and a rolling pin to crush the pecans. Aim for small, even pieces. Mix with panko and seasonings in a bowl and you’re good to go.

Can I bake these instead of air frying?

Yes. Bake on a wire rack set over a sheet pan at 425 F for 15 to 18 minutes, flipping once. They won’t be quite as crisp as the air fryer but still very good.

Any favorite dips that pair well?

Honey mustard, chipotle mayo, barbecue sauce, or a simple yogurt ranch are all great. If you want more chicken inspo, try this juicy option for another easy dinner win: air fryer turkey breast.

Ready To Crunch Into Dinner?

If you want dinner that’s fast, satisfying, and a little special, go with Crispy & Juicy Air Fryer Pecan-Crusted Chicken That’s Oil-Free. The pecans give a natural toasty flavor and the air fryer turns the coating into a crispy jacket without any oil. Once you try it, you’ll see why it’s a weeknight favorite in my kitchen. Crispy Air Fryer Salt and Pepper Tofu for a Flavorful Meal

by Cuts Food
written by Cuts Food

Air Fryer Salt and Pepper Tofu is the weeknight hero I lean on when I want something fast, crispy, and super satisfying without a ton of effort. Maybe you’ve tried tofu before and it turned out soft or bland, and you thought it wasn’t for you. I get it. But this method is different. It’s light, crunchy outside, tender inside, and seasoned simply with salt, pepper, and a little garlic that makes the tofu shine. Today I’m walking you through exactly how I make it at home so you can nail it too, every single time. And yes, it’s easy enough for a Tuesday night.

What kind of tofu should I use?

For crisp tofu in the air fryer, you want the right texture from the start. The best choice is extra-firm or super-firm tofu. Super-firm usually comes vacuum-packed and doesn’t need pressing, which saves time. Extra-firm is widely available and works great, but it benefits from a quick press to remove excess water.

Skip silken tofu for this recipe. It’s delicious in soups and smoothies but too soft to get that chip-like crunch we want here. Firm tofu can work if it’s what you have, but expect a slightly softer bite.

When you’re shopping, look for organic or non-GMO if that’s important to you. Also check the tofu’s date and choose the freshest package you can find. Fresher tofu tends to have a cleaner flavor and better structure.

If you’re new to air fryers or want more crispy inspiration, you might love browsing my go-to collection in the air fryer recipe category. It’s full of quick wins for busy nights.

One last note on size: smaller cubes and triangles crisp faster. I like bite-size pieces about 1 inch wide. They cook evenly, turn easily, and deliver the perfect crunch-to-softness ratio.

Bottom line: use extra-firm or super-firm tofu, and keep your pieces uniform so everything cooks at the same speed.
Air Fryer Salt and Pepper Tofu

How do I prep tofu for air frying or baking?

Prep is simple and makes a huge difference. Think dry, even, and lightly coated. That’s the formula for success.

Here’s my quick prep routine that works whether you’re using an air fryer or your oven:

  • Press extra-firm tofu for 10 to 15 minutes using a clean towel and something heavy. If using super-firm, skip pressing.
  • Cut into 1-inch cubes or triangles. Triangles get slightly crisper edges.
  • Pat dry again. Moisture is the enemy of crunch.
  • Toss with 1 tablespoon neutral oil to help the coating stick.
  • Coat with 2 to 3 teaspoons cornstarch, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper. Add 1 teaspoon garlic powder if you like.
  • Optional flavor boost: a pinch of white pepper or chili flakes, and a sprinkle of scallions after cooking.

If you’re baking instead of air frying, line a sheet pan with parchment, space the tofu out, and flip halfway. The oven method is great if you’re already roasting something else, though it takes a bit longer.

Pro tip: preheat your air fryer for 3 minutes. Hot basket equals faster, better browning. And avoid crowding, which traps steam. If needed, cook in two batches.

Craving a crunchy side to go with this? My family loves a snacky plate with air fryer fried pickles while the tofu cooks. It turns a simple night into a fun one.

That’s it. Dry tofu, light oil, simple coating, and a hot air fryer or oven. You’re set.
Crispy Air Fryer Salt and Pepper Tofu for a Flavorful Meal

How do I make crispy air fryer tofu?

This is my go-to method for Crispy Air Fryer Salt and Pepper Tofu for a Flavorful Meal that tastes like a takeout treat but takes minimal effort.

Ingredients

1 block extra-firm or super-firm tofu, 14 to 16 ounces. 1 tablespoon neutral oil like avocado or canola. 2 to 3 teaspoons cornstarch. 1 teaspoon kosher salt, plus more to taste. 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. Optional: 1 small jalapeño sliced thin, 2 cloves garlic minced for a finishing sizzle, 2 scallions sliced, and a squeeze of lime.

Directions

1. Preheat the air fryer to 390 F for 3 minutes. If baking, set the oven to 425 F.

2. Prep the tofu as above. Toss with oil, then cornstarch, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until evenly coated.

3. Arrange the tofu in a single layer in the basket. No overlapping. If you have more than one layer, cook in batches.

4. Air fry for 12 to 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway. I usually check at minute 10. If you want extra crunch, give it 2 more minutes. For the oven, roast for 25 to 30 minutes, flipping once.

5. Optional finishing sizzle: warm a teaspoon of oil in a small skillet, cook the minced garlic and jalapeño for 30 seconds, and toss the hot tofu in. Shower with scallions and a squeeze of lime. Taste and adjust salt and pepper.

That’s it. You now have tofu that’s golden, shattery, and so snackable it might not even make it to the plate.

I never liked tofu until I tried this air fryer version. It’s crisp, peppery, and honestly addictive. My meat-loving husband asked for seconds. That’s saying something.

Want more crunchy comfort food nights? Pair this tofu with a quick snack board or cheesy sides. I love adding something carby like this air fryer cheesy garlic bread to the table. It balances the spice and makes dinner feel cozy.

What should I serve with this?

There are so many easy ways to turn this into a craveable meal. Here are a few favorites to mix and match:

  • Rice bowls: Pile your Crispy Air Fryer Salt and Pepper Tofu for a Flavorful Meal over jasmine rice with cucumbers, carrots, scallions, and a drizzle of soy or tamari.
  • Noodles: Toss with sesame noodles and steamed veggies. Add chili crisp if you like heat.
  • Fresh salad: Serve on a crunchy slaw with lime dressing. It’s bright, crunchy, and super satisfying.
  • Sweet and savory plate: Add caramelized edges with these air fryer sweet plantains. Sweet plus peppery is a dream combo.
  • Mix-and-match dinner: If you’re cooking for different tastes, make tofu for some and this teriyaki salmon bowl for others. Same sauces, same toppings, all happy.

However you serve it, keep the texture party going with fresh herbs, something crisp like cucumber, and a little acid from lime or rice vinegar.

Expert tips

Preheat and dry: A hot basket and dry tofu are the biggest keys to crunch. Even a little extra moisture steals crispiness.

Use enough pepper: Freshly ground black pepper has a brighter kick than pre-ground. Don’t be shy. If you love heat, add a pinch of white pepper or crushed red pepper.

Starch matters: Cornstarch is your best friend. It makes a super thin, crackly crust. Potato starch works too.

Don’t crowd the basket: Space equals crisp. If the pieces touch, they steam instead of crisping.

Finish with flavor: Tossing hot tofu with a quick garlic-jalapeño sizzle and scallions makes a simple dish feel special.

Reheating: Pop leftovers back in the air fryer at 380 F for 3 to 5 minutes to restore crunch. The microwave will soften it, so save that for emergencies only.

Variations and swaps

Gluten-free is simple here if you use tamari instead of soy sauce for drizzling. Try rainbow peppercorns for a more nuanced pepper flavor, or add a pinch of five-spice for a subtle warmth. A light dusting of nutritional yeast adds savory depth without overpowering the salt and pepper vibe. If you love citrus, finish with lemon zest for bright top notes.

Storage and quick meal prep

Refrigerate cooked tofu in a sealed container for up to 3 days. Re-crisp in the air fryer before serving. For prep ahead, cut and coat the tofu up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerate. Cook right before eating. If you want a full make-ahead spread, keep some frozen rice or noodles on hand and dinner is basically done.

When I want to save time, I batch cook the seasoned tofu and use it in different ways all week. Rice bowl on day one, noodle salad on day two, and a snacky plate on day three. It never gets boring.

Common Questions

Why isn’t my tofu getting crispy? It’s usually moisture or crowding. Pat the tofu very dry, use a little cornstarch, and cook in a single layer with space between pieces. Preheating helps too.

Can I bake instead of air fry? Yes. Bake at 425 F for 25 to 30 minutes, flipping once. It won’t be quite as fast as the air fryer, but it still crisps nicely.

How much oil should I use? About 1 tablespoon per block of tofu is plenty. The air fryer does the heavy lifting. Too much oil can soften the crust.

Is this recipe vegan and gluten-free? It’s naturally vegan. To keep it gluten-free, use tamari or coconut aminos instead of soy sauce if you’re adding a drizzle.

How do I keep the tofu from sticking? Use a light spray of oil in the basket or a perforated liner. Toss halfway through cooking so all sides crisp evenly.
