Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9 by 13 inch baking pan.
- Layer the chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and chopped nuts evenly over the crust.
- Sprinkle the shredded coconut over the layers.
- Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the entire mixture.
- Sprinkle extra coconut or chips on top if desired.
Baking
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is lightly golden.
- Let cool at room temperature before slicing. For cleaner slices, chill in the refrigerator for 45 minutes.
Notes
These bars can be made ahead of time and taste better the next day. Store in an airtight container at room temperature or refrigerate for up to a week. They can also be frozen; wrap slices individually and thaw as needed.
