  • 12 pieces jumbo marshmallows Regular marshmallows can be used if jumbo are not available.
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Can substitute with almond bark.
  • assorted types sprinkles and toppings Includes candy eyes, nonpareils, or bone candies.
For assembly
  • 1 piece wax paper For less clean-up.
  • as needed pieces popsicle sticks or toothpicks For holding the marshmallows.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Line up marshmallows on a sheet of wax paper.
  2. Melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring in quick bursts until smooth.
  3. Insert a popsicle stick into each marshmallow.
Dipping
  1. Dip the marshmallow into the melted chocolate, coating thoroughly.
  2. Spin the stick to remove excess drips.
  3. Immediately sprinkle toppings before the chocolate sets.
  4. Allow to rest on wax paper until chocolate is set.

Notes

Tips: Keep the chocolate thick for better coating, work with small bowls for toppings for kids to enjoy decorating, and cool finished marshmallows in the fridge if your kitchen is warm.
