  • 1 cup Creamy peanut butter Creamy works best for a smooth texture; natural can work but may be looser.
  • 1/2 cup Honey Acts as a sweetener and binding agent.
  • 2 cups Quick oats Quick oats soften nicely without baking.
Optional Topping
  • 1/2 cup Chocolate chips Melted and spread on top for added flavor.

Preparation
  1. Line an 8x8 inch pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal later.
  2. In a mixing bowl, stir together peanut butter and honey until smooth and glossy.
  3. Add the quick oats and stir until everything is evenly coated, resembling thick cookie dough.
  4. Press the mixture firmly into the prepared pan, ensuring it is compact to prevent crumbling.
Optional Chocolate Topping
  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips in short bursts, stirring until smooth. Spread over the pressed mixture.
Chilling
  1. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 to 2 hours until set.
  2. Once set, lift the bars out using the parchment overhang and slice into squares.

Notes

Press the mixture firmly to prevent crumbling when cut. Use quick oats for the best texture, and consider adding extras like mini chocolate chips or chopped peanuts for variation.
