Cooking the Beef
- Heat a skillet on medium high. Add the ground beef and break it up with a spoon. Cook until it is no longer pink.
- If there is excess grease, carefully drain it, leaving some for flavor.
- Add chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper to the beef. Stir to coat evenly.
- Pour in the water and let it simmer for 2 to 3 minutes to help the seasoning cling to the meat and keep it juicy.
Assembling the Bowls
- Chop the lettuce and place it into each bowl.
- Spoon the hot seasoned beef over the lettuce.
- Add desired toppings such as cheese, salsa, sour cream, and avocado.
Notes
Do not dress the lettuce early to maintain its crunch. Customize toppings to fit your dietary needs.
