Ingredients

Marshmallow Treats
  • 12 pieces Large marshmallows or jumbo marshmallows
  • 1 cup Chocolate (semi-sweet chips, milk chocolate chips, or melting wafers) Melting wafers are recommended for smoother dipping.
  • 1-2 teaspoons Coconut oil or shortening (optional) Helps chocolate dip smoother.
  • 1 cup Halloween colored sprinkles
  • 1 cup Candy eyes Optional, for decoration.
  • 12 pieces Pretzel sticks or lollipop sticks (optional) For handles.
  • Parchment paper or wax paper For lining the baking sheet.

Method

Preparation
  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and clear some space in the fridge.
  2. Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in short bursts, stirring every time. Stir in coconut oil if the chocolate looks thick.
  3. If using sticks, push a pretzel stick or lollipop stick into each marshmallow about halfway.
Dipping and Decoration
  1. Dip each marshmallow into the melted chocolate, using a spoon to help coat the sides if needed. Let the excess chocolate drip off.
  2. Add sprinkles right away while the chocolate is still wet. Press on candy eyes if using.
  3. Set marshmallows on the parchment paper and chill for 10 to 15 minutes until set.

Notes

Make a dipping station with sprinkles in small bowls for kids to decorate. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
