Cheesy Garlic Chicken Wraps

These savory wraps are filled with garlicky, cheesy chicken and are perfect for a quick, comforting meal.

Ingredients
  

Chicken Filling
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, chopped or shredded Rotisserie chicken works great.
  • 3 cloves minced garlic Or 1 and 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder.
  • 1 tablespoon butter or olive oil For cooking the filling.
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika
  • 3-4 tablespoons mayo or plain Greek yogurt Start with 3 tablespoons.
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or mix) Divided into two parts.
Wraps
  • 4 large flour tortillas Burrito size is easiest.
Optional Add-ins
  • to taste chopped spinach
  • to taste diced pickles
  • to taste green onions
  • to taste hot sauce

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Heat a skillet on medium. Add butter or olive oil, then toss in the minced garlic. Stir for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  2. Add the chicken along with salt, pepper, and paprika. Stir for 2 to 3 minutes until heated through.
  3. Lower the heat, mix in mayo or Greek yogurt, then add about 1 cup of the cheese and stir until melted. Remove from heat and taste, adding more salt if needed.
Assembly and Cooking
  1. Lay out the tortillas and place filling down the center, topping with remaining cheese and any optional add-ins.
  2. Fold in the sides and roll up tightly. Place seam side down in a dry skillet over medium heat and toast for 2 to 3 minutes per side until golden and cheese is melted.

Notes

For best results, use flavorful cooked chicken. Allow wraps to cool before storing. These are easy to reheat in a skillet for lunch.
