Preparation
  1. Preheat your waffle iron until fully hot.
  2. If using frozen shredded potatoes, thaw and squeeze out moisture.
  3. If using fresh potatoes, shred and squeeze them in a clean towel to remove excess moisture.
  4. Toss shredded potatoes with salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings.
Cooking
  1. Brush or spray the waffle iron with oil.
  2. Add a thin, even layer of the potato mixture to the waffle iron and press down gently.
  3. Cook until deep golden and crisp, without opening the waffle iron too early.

Notes

For extra crispy results, ensure potatoes are well-dried and do not rush the preheating process. Use a light coating of oil to prevent sticking.
