- Preheat your oven to 325 F.
- Place the unbaked pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and crimp the edges if desired.
- In a bowl, whisk the eggs, then add melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix until glossy and smooth.
- Stir in flour and salt just until combined.
- Add vanilla, then fold in chocolate chips and nuts if using.
- Pour the filling into the pie crust and bake for 55 to 65 minutes, until the top is set and lightly golden.
- Let the pie cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
