Preparation
- Heat your oven to 375°F. Let the turkey breast sit out for 20 to 30 minutes if it's cold from the fridge.
- Pat the turkey breast dry with paper towels.
- Mix the softened butter with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Stir in chopped fresh herbs if using.
- Rub the seasoned butter all over the turkey breast, including under the skin if applicable.
Roasting
- Set the turkey in a roasting pan or baking dish. Scatter onion slices in the pan and pour broth around the turkey.
- Roast until the thickest part of the turkey hits 165°F, usually around 60 to 90 minutes for a 3 to 4 pound breast.
- Rest the turkey for 15 to 20 minutes before slicing.
Notes
Use a meat thermometer for best results. Don't forget to let the turkey rest for juicy slices. Consider making quick gravy with the pan drippings.
