  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup Use canned for simplicity.
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese More cheese can be added for taste.
  • 1 cup chopped onion Onion powder can be used as a substitute.
  • to taste salt and pepper Add garlic powder as desired.
  • 1 cup frozen veggies (peas, green beans, or corn) Add for color and nutrition.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. Brown the ground beef or turkey in a skillet over medium heat along with the chopped onions.
  3. Drain the grease from the cooked meat.
  4. Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, salt, pepper, and frozen veggies until well combined.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly in a baking dish and sprinkle half of the cheese on top.
  6. Arrange the frozen tater tots evenly across the top of the mixture.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top of the tater tots.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes until the tater tots are golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.
  9. Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for crispy tater tots or microwave for a quicker option. To freeze, use a freezer-friendly container.
