Ingredients
Method
Make Peach Syrup
- Combine chopped peaches, sugar, water, and salt in a small pot.
- Simmer for 12 to 18 minutes until peaches soften and liquid thickens.
- Mash peaches slightly for more syrupy texture and strain if desired.
- Cool completely before using in tea.
Brew the Tea
- Bring water to a boil, then turn off heat and steep tea bags for 5 to 7 minutes.
- Do not steep too long to prevent bitterness.
- Let tea cool and stir in peach syrup to taste.
- Add lemon juice if desired and chill in the fridge until cold.
- Serve over ice and garnish with fresh peach slices.
Notes
For a boozy version, add bourbon, vodka, or peach schnapps to chilled tea. Best enjoyed within 2 to 3 days.
