Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grab a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Add the rice to the dish, spreading it evenly.
- Pour in the beef broth and French onion soup, stirring lightly to mostly cover the rice.
- Place the stick of butter on top of the rice.
- Cover the dish tightly with foil to trap steam.
Baking
- Bake covered for about 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for another 25 to 30 minutes until liquid is absorbed and top is golden.
- Fluff the rice with a fork and let it sit for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
If the rice comes out mushy or crunchy, check that the foil was tight, the oven temperature is correct, and that the right type of rice was used. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
