Ingredients

For the Base
  • 1 box Cookie dough (homemade or refrigerated) Use chocolate chip, peanut butter, or sugar cookie dough for variations.
  • 18 pieces Oreos Classic flavor works best, but feel free to try mint or peanut butter varieties.
  • 1 box Brownie batter Boxed mix or homemade, depending on your preference.
Optional Add-ins
  • 1/2 cup Chocolate chips For added richness in the brownie layer.
  • 1 tsp Flaky salt Sprinkle on top after baking for flavor.
  • 1 tsp Espresso powder Enhances chocolate flavor if added to brownie batter.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13 inch pan with parchment paper or foil and spray it lightly with baking spray.
  2. Press the cookie dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. Place the Oreos in a single layer on top of the cookie dough base.
  4. Pour the brownie batter over the Oreos and spread gently to avoid displacing the cookies.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 35 to 45 minutes. Start checking around 35 minutes. Toothpick should come out with moist crumbs but not wet batter.
  2. If edges appear to be darkening too much, lightly cover the pan with foil.
Cooling and Serving
  1. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan to let the layers set. For cleaner slices, chill them for an additional 30 minutes before cutting.
  2. Slice into squares and serve slightly warm or at room temperature.

Notes

For eggless options, look for substitutes suitable for baking. These brownies can be stored at room temperature for 2 days or refrigerated for up to 5 days. You can also freeze them for up to 2 months.
