Ingredients
  

For the Shake
  • 3 scoops large scoops vanilla ice cream Use good quality vanilla ice cream.
  • 1 cup whole milk Add more if you like it thinner.
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract Start small, add more as needed.
  • few drops green food coloring To achieve desired color.
  • to taste whipped cream For topping.
  • 1 maraschino cherry For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Let the ice cream soften for about 5 minutes before blending.
  2. In a blender, combine the vanilla ice cream, whole milk, peppermint extract, and a few drops of green food coloring.
  3. Blend until smooth but still thick, adjusting milk for desired consistency.
  4. Pour the shake into glasses and top with whipped cream and a maraschino cherry.

Notes

For an ultra-thick shake, use less milk. Chill glasses in the freezer before serving for an extra frosty experience. Flavor variations include adding Oreos, chocolate ice cream, or even spinach for extra nutrients.
