Preparation
- Preheat the oven as directed on the crescent roll dough package.
- In a skillet, brown the breakfast sausage over medium heat, breaking it up until fully cooked.
- Once the sausage is cooked, add the cream cheese and stir until melted and creamy.
- Roll the crescent dough out and spread the sausage and cream cheese mixture evenly on top.
- Roll the crescent dough back up, place it in a baking dish, and pop it in the oven.
- Bake according to the crescent roll dough package instructions, typically about 20 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
Notes
Serve with salsa, top with green onions or chives, or add a dollop of sour cream or a fried egg for a breakfast dish. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge or frozen and reheated easily.
