Pizza Sliders

These cheesy pizza sliders are perfect for game night or a quick family dinner. Soft, gooey, and filled with pepperoni and mozzarella, they are sure to please everyone!

Ingredients
  

For the sliders
  • 12 pieces Hawaiian rolls or any soft slider rolls Use sweet Hawaiian rolls for the best flavor.
  • 3/4 cup Pizza sauce Add more if you like them saucy.
  • 2-3 cups Mozzarella, shredded or sliced Low moisture mozzarella is best for stretch.
  • 4-6 ounces Pepperoni Feel free to use turkey pepperoni or cooked chicken as substitutes.
  • 3 tablespoons Butter, melted For brushing on top.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder For flavor in the topping.
  • 1/2-1 teaspoon Italian seasoning Optional for added flavor.
  • 1-2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese Optional for additional flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly butter or spray a 9x13 baking dish.
  2. Slice the whole slab of rolls in half horizontally to create a top and bottom layer.
  3. Place the bottom layer in the baking dish and spread a thin layer of pizza sauce on top.
  4. Add a layer of pepperoni followed by a generous layer of mozzarella. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning if desired.
  5. Place the top layer of rolls back on.
  6. Brush the tops with melted butter mixed with garlic powder and a pinch of seasoning. Optionally, add parmesan.
Baking
  1. Cover with foil and bake for about 15 minutes.
  2. Uncover and bake for an additional 5 to 8 minutes until the tops are golden and the cheese is bubbling.
  3. Let cool for 5 minutes before cutting to help the sliders stay together.

Notes

You can prepare the sliders up to the butter topping part and store them in the fridge for up to 12 hours. Bake as usual when ready.
