- Put the softened cream cheese on a small plate or shallow bowl. A wide dish is recommended for easy scooping.
- Use the back of a spoon to smooth the cream cheese out, keeping it thick in the middle with a dip around the edges for the jelly.
- Spoon pepper jelly over the top, covering it like a glossy layer without drowning it.
- Serve right away, or chill for 15 to 30 minutes for a firmer texture.
Notes
Let the cream cheese soften properly before serving to avoid tearing the crackers. This dip can be made ahead of time by spreading the cream cheese in a dish and covering it in the fridge for up to two days. Add pepper jelly right before serving for the best texture.
