Ingredients
  

For the chicken
  • 4 pieces Chicken breasts Make sure they are of similar size for even cooking.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil Helps keep the chicken moist.
For the seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Brown sugar Adds depth without sweetness.
  • optional Dried Italian herbs or chili powder For added flavor if desired.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Prepare the chicken breasts by flattening thicker parts to ensure even cooking.
Seasoning
  1. Rub the chicken breasts with the olive oil.
  2. Generously coat the chicken with the seasoning blend.
Cooking
  1. Place the seasoned chicken on a baking tray lined with foil.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for about 18-20 minutes, checking the internal temperature.
  3. Remove the chicken when it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  4. Cover with foil and let it rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For the juiciest chicken, do not poke holes and allow to rest after baking. You can serve this chicken in wraps, salads, or alongside rice and vegetables.
