M&M Cookie Dough Fudge

Ingredients
  

Cookie Dough Layer
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk this is the secret to easy fudge
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips or white chocolate baking bars chopped up
  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour heat treated
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup M&Ms plus a few extra for the top
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips optional for extra cookie dough vibes

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Line an 8-inch or 9-inch square pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang.
  2. In a bowl, mix softened butter and brown sugar until creamy. Stir in vanilla and a pinch of salt.
  3. Add the cooled heat treated flour and mix until it forms a soft dough. Fold in M&Ms and mini chocolate chips if desired.
  4. Press the cookie dough into the bottom of the lined pan evenly.
Fudge Layer
  1. In a saucepan on low heat, add white chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Stir continuously until melted and smooth.
  2. Remove from heat and add a small splash of vanilla and a pinch of salt. Pour over the cookie dough layer and smooth the top.
Decoration & Chilling
  1. Sprinkle more M&Ms on top and press them in lightly.
  2. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 to 3 hours until firm enough to slice.

Notes

For best results, keep the heat low when melting the fudge. Use parchment paper for easy removal from the pan. Allow the flour to cool completely before mixing it in.
