  • 1 teaspoon Matcha powder Use culinary grade or everyday matcha for best results.
  • 2-3 tablespoons Fresh lemon juice Add more if you prefer it tangy.
  • 1-2 tablespoons Sweetener (honey, simple syrup, or maple syrup) Sweeten to taste.
  • 1 cup Cold water Adjust based on desired strength.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a small cup or bowl, add your matcha powder.
  2. Pour in a small splash of warm water, just a couple tablespoons, to help it dissolve.
  3. Whisk or stir until it looks smooth, using a small whisk or a fork.
  4. In your glass, add lemon juice and sweetener. Stir until the sweetener is dissolved.
  5. Add ice, then pour in the matcha mixture.
  6. Top with cold water, stir, and taste. Adjust flavors as necessary.

Notes

Use warm water to mix the matcha first to avoid clumps. Sweeten while it's easy to dissolve. This drink is forgiving; adjust flavors to your preference.
