Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 tall glass 1 tall glass (or a stemless wine glass if you want it to feel extra)
  • 1/2 piece 1/2 lime
  • 1/3 cup 1/3 cup fruit (berries or pineapple)
  • 1 cup 1 cup kombucha (cold) Choose a flavor you like.
  • 1-2 teaspoons Optional: 1 to 2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup For sweetness if kombucha is too tart.
  • 1 splash Optional: splash of sparkling water To lighten the drink if desired.
  • a lot of Ice This drink loves ice.
  • a few leaves Mint or basil for garnish For a decorative touch.

Method

Preparation
  1. Fill your glass with ice. Add fruit and squeeze in the lime.
  2. If you are using sweetener, stir it in now so it dissolves against the cold fruit and citrus.
  3. Pour in the kombucha slowly to keep the fizz from going wild.
  4. Taste it. If it is too strong, add a splash of sparkling water. If it is too tart, add a tiny bit more sweetener. If it is too sweet, add more lime.
  5. Garnish with mint and serve immediately.

Notes

You can prep fruit, herbs, and citrus ahead of time, but pour the kombucha right before serving to maintain fizziness. For kids, use sparkling water with a splash of juice and fruit instead of kombucha if concerned about trace alcohol.
