Method
 

Preparation
  1. Rinse the white rice until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.
  2. Add the rinsed rice to the Instant Pot.
  3. Pour in cool water and add salt and oil if desired.
Cooking
  1. Close the lid and seal the Instant Pot.
  2. Choose the 'Pressure Cook' function and set the time to 4 minutes.
  3. After cooking, let it sit and do a natural release for 10 minutes.
Finishing Touches
  1. Fluff the rice gently with a fork to separate the grains.

Notes

Do not stir the rice after adding water to avoid mushiness. Experiment with water ratios if desired for different textures.
