Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise Use your favorite brand, full fat is preferred.
  • 3 tablespoons Ketchup Adds sweetness and color.
Flavor Enhancers
  • 2 tablespoons Sweet pickle relish For a classic flavor. Dill relish works too, but it's tangier.
  • 1 teaspoon White vinegar Brightens the sauce.
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar Optional, to balance the tang.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt Add more to taste.
  • A few turns Black pepper For additional seasoning.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Onion powder Provides background flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Add mayo, ketchup, relish, vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper, and onion powder to a bowl.
  2. Stir until smooth and evenly mixed, scraping the sides to avoid unmixed mayo.
  3. Taste the sauce and adjust sweetness or tanginess as needed.
  4. Cover and chill for at least 30 minutes to enhance the flavors.

Notes

Keep the sauce in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 5 to 7 days. Stir before serving as it may separate. Perfect for fries, burgers, chicken sandwiches, and more.
