Ingredients
  

For the Chai
  • 2 bags Black tea or 2 teaspoons loose leaf
  • 1 cup Water for brewing
  • 1 small stick Cinnamon or a pinch ground
  • 2 slices Ginger or a pinch ground
  • 2 whole Cloves go easy on this, just a tiny bit
  • optional Cardamom for added flavor
For Serving
  • 1 cup Milk of choice dairy or non-dairy
  • to taste Sweetener like honey, sugar, or maple syrup
  • 1 cup Ice for serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Bring water to a gentle simmer.
  2. Add black tea and spices. Let it steep until it is strong and fragrant.
  3. Strain it, then stir in your sweetener while it is still warm.
  4. Cool it down. You can chill it in the fridge or pour it into a glass over lots of ice.
  5. Add milk, stir, taste, and adjust sweetness.

Notes

You can brew this in the morning and keep it in a jar in the fridge for quick iced lattes. Adjust the spice levels to find your sweet spot. Try making chai ice cubes to prevent dilution.
