Ingredients
  

For the Wings
  • 2 pounds chicken wings Pat wings dry with paper towels before use.
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder Helps the skin to crisp up.
  • 1 teaspoon salt To taste.
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper To taste.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder For flavor.
For the Honey Mustard Sauce
  • 1/3 cup honey Use good quality honey.
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard For that sharp flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard For the classic taste.
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter Adds richness.
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar Can substitute with lemon juice.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder For added flavor.
  • 1 pinch cayenne or smoked paprika Optional, for a kick.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a sheet pan with foil. Set a wire rack on top.
  2. Pat wings dry with paper towels until tacky.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the wings with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and baking powder.
  4. Arrange wings on the rack in a single layer.
Baking
  1. Bake the wings for 40 to 45 minutes, flipping once halfway through.
  2. Increase the oven temperature to 450°F (232°C) and bake for an additional 5 to 8 minutes until crispy.
Saucing
  1. For the honey mustard sauce, whisk all sauce ingredients in a saucepan over low heat until smooth, about 2 to 3 minutes.
  2. Remove wings from oven, let sit for 3 minutes, then toss in a bowl with the honey mustard sauce to coat.
  3. For extra stickiness, brush on a second layer of sauce and return to the oven for 3 to 5 minutes.

Notes

Perfect served with crunchy veggies, oven fries, or a fresh salad. Can also use air fryer or grill for different cooking methods. If making ahead, reheat at 425°F until crisp before saucing.
