Preparation
- In a small bowl, stir together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, lemon juice (or vinegar), and cornstarch. Set aside.
Cooking
- Heat a large skillet on medium high with a little oil. Toss in broccoli with a pinch of salt. Add a few tablespoons of water, cover for 2-3 minutes to steam, then uncover and let any water cook off.
- Push broccoli to the side, add more oil if needed, and add shrimp in a single layer. Season lightly with pepper and cook for about 1-2 minutes per side until shrimp is pink and firm.
- Pour the prepared sauce into the pan, tossing everything together. Allow it to bubble and thicken for about 30-60 seconds, until glossy.
- Serve immediately, over rice or noodles, if desired.
Notes
This dish is best served right after cooking. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat carefully to maintain shrimp texture.
