Ingredients
  

For the chicken
  • 4 pieces Chicken thighs, boneless Can substitute with chicken breasts.
For the sauce
  • 1/4 cup Honey Adjust based on sweetness preference.
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce Can use low-sodium soy sauce.
  • 2 tablespoons Cornflour (cornstarch) For thicker sauce (optional).
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced Fresh garlic preferred for best flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Pat the chicken thighs dry and season well with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat a pan over medium heat and add a little oil.
Cooking
  1. Add the chicken thighs to the pan and brown on both sides until they are golden.
  2. Add minced garlic to the pan and cook until fragrant.
  3. Mix honey and soy sauce together and pour into the pan.
  4. If using cornstarch, mix with a bit of cold water and add to the sauce to thicken.
  5. Let the sauce bubble and coat the chicken for a few minutes.
  6. Once done, remove from heat and let sit for a couple of minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve with rice to soak up the sauce. Pair with steamed vegetables for a complete meal. Leftovers can be stored in a sealed container in the fridge.
