- In a large skillet or Dutch oven, brown the ground beef over medium heat until it's well cooked and not just gray.
- Add the chopped onion to the skillet and cook for a few minutes. Then, add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds.
- Stir in the tomato paste and all the seasonings. Cook for 30 to 60 seconds to enhance the flavor.
- Add the pasta, broth, and milk to the skillet. Stir well and bring it to a gentle simmer.
- Cover the skillet and cook, stirring every couple of minutes to prevent sticking. If the mixture looks too thick before the pasta is tender, add more broth or water as needed.
- Once the pasta is cooked, turn off the heat and stir in the shredded cheese. Let it sit for a minute to thicken.
