Ingredients
  

For the Butterbeer
  • 4 cups Cream soda, chilled A&W or store brand recommended.
  • 1/2 cup Butterscotch syrup Ice cream topping aisle.
  • 1 cup Heavy whipping cream Or coconut whipped topping for a non-dairy option.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract Adds flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons Powdered sugar Optional for sweetening the cream.
For Garnishing
  • 1 pinch Sea salt Optional for added flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Chill the cream soda properly before serving.
  2. Stir in a generous swirl of butterscotch syrup into each mug or glass.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with vanilla extract and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  4. Top each mug with the whipped cream mixture.
  5. Finish with a drizzle of butterscotch syrup and a pinch of sea salt if desired.

Notes

Best served fresh to maintain fizz. Can be made non-dairy with coconut whipped topping. Don’t overwhip the cream – soft peaks are ideal.
