Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice the entire slab of rolls in half horizontally, keeping the halves connected.
- Place the bottom half of the rolls in a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Layer the ham evenly across the bottom half of the rolls.
- Add the cheese on top of the ham, overlapping the slices for maximum coverage.
- Place the top half of the rolls back on.
- In a bowl, melt the butter and stir in the Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and poppy seeds if using.
- Brush or spoon the butter mixture generously over the top of the rolls.
Baking
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for about 15 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-8 minutes until the tops are golden brown.
Serving
- Allow the sliders to sit for about 3-5 minutes after baking to let the cheese settle.
- Cut and serve warm.
Notes
These sliders can be made ahead of time; assemble and refrigerate without the butter topping. Add the butter just before baking for the best texture. Pair well with pickles, potato chips, coleslaw, or fruit trays.
