Ingredients
  

Potatoes
  • 4 medium Yukon gold or red potatoes Fresh potatoes, avoid super-starchy types.
Seasoning and oil
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Generous amount to prevent sticking.
  • 1 teaspoon salt To taste.
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper To taste.
  • optional garlic powder or paprika For additional flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Scrub the potatoes thoroughly to remove grit.
  2. Cut potatoes into half-inch slices or chunky wedges.
  3. Toss the potato slices with olive oil, salt, pepper, and optional seasonings.
Grilling
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Lay a sheet of foil on a corner of the grill to prevent sticking.
  3. Spread the potatoes out in a single layer on the grill.
  4. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, flipping carefully with tongs.
  5. Serve hot, ideally outdoors for a great summer experience.

Notes

Keep potato slices uniform in thickness to ensure even cooking. Use ample olive oil for crispiness and flavor. Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2-3 days.
