Ingredients

For the Cilantro Lime Butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened This will be mixed with the herbs.
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped Provides the herby flavor.
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped Alternative herb option.
  • 1 tablespoon lime zest Adds zestiness to the butter.
  • 1 clove garlic, minced Infuses flavor into the butter.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Pull your flank steak out of the fridge and let it warm up on the counter for about 30 minutes.
  2. Season both sides of the steak with salt, pepper, and a dash of olive oil.
Grilling
  1. Preheat your grill to high, ensuring it's sizzling hot.
  2. Place the steak on the grill and grill each side for around 3 to 5 minutes, depending on thickness and desired doneness.
  3. Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5 to 10 minutes under foil.
Making the Butter
  1. While the steak is resting, mix together the cilantro, parsley, lime zest, minced garlic, and softened butter.
Serving
  1. Slice the steak against the grain, slather it with cilantro lime butter, and serve.

Notes
