Preparation
- Cut the chicken into even cubes and pat dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter or olive oil with minced garlic, Italian seasoning, black pepper, and a small pinch of salt.
- Pour half of the garlic mixture over the chicken and toss well. Add a few tablespoons of parmesan now, but save most for later.
- Thread chicken onto skewers, leaving a little space between pieces.
Cooking
- For grilling: Cook on medium-high heat for about 10 to 14 minutes, turning every few minutes.
- For oven: Bake at 425°F for about 16 to 20 minutes, flipping once. Broil for 1 to 2 minutes at the end for color.
- For air fryer: Cook at 400°F for about 10 to 12 minutes, turning halfway.
- Brush with the remaining garlic butter mixture, sprinkle with the rest of the parmesan, and cook for an additional 1 to 2 minutes.
- Serve with a squeeze of lemon and a sprinkle of parsley if desired.
Notes
To avoid common mistakes, ensure chicken pieces are evenly cut, soak wooden skewers for 20-30 minutes, and pat chicken dry for better browning.
