  • 1/4 cup butter For cooking and flavor.
  • to taste salt and pepper For seasoning.

  • 1/2 cup mushrooms, chopped Add for extra flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes For added heat.
  • 1 splash Worcestershire sauce To enhance flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Bring steak to room temperature and dice it into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Trim any excess fat from the steak.
Cooking
  1. In a sturdy nonstick or cast iron pan, melt the butter over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the diced steak to the pan, ensuring not to overcrowd, and sear until cooked to preference (about 5-7 minutes for medium).
  4. Season with salt and pepper, and add any optional ingredients like mushrooms or chili flakes if desired.
  5. Remove from heat and let the steak rest for a minute before serving.

Notes

Serve over mashed potatoes, in a warm baguette, tossed on a salad, or with roasted veggies. For leftovers, store in a covered container in the fridge for up to three days. Reheat using a pan sauté for best results.
