  • 1 cup sugar Granulated sugar.
  • 4 large eggs Add eggs one at a time and mix well.
  • 1 pinch salt Helps enhance the chocolate flavor.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
  2. Melt the chocolate and butter together in the microwave or a double boiler.
  3. Once melted, whisk in the sugar while the mixture is still warm.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until glossy.
  5. Sprinkle in the pinch of salt and mix well.
  6. Pour the batter into the greased pan and bake for about 25 minutes, until the top is puffy.
  7. Allow the cake to cool in the pan before serving. Serve with powdered sugar or berries if desired.

Notes

Let the cake cool in the pan to prevent it from falling apart. Tastes best at room temperature or chilled. Can be stored in the fridge for up to five days or frozen for a month.
