Ingredients
  

For the wonton cups
  • 12 pieces wonton wrappers You can substitute with egg roll wrappers cut into squares if needed.
For the cream cheese filling
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Softened makes it easier to spoon into cups.
  • 1 tbsp pepper jelly Red is classic, but use what you prefer.
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions Optional topping.
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans Optional topping.
  • 1/4 cup crumbled bacon Optional topping.

Method
 

Baking the Cups
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly spray a mini muffin tin with cooking spray.
  2. Press one wonton wrapper into each muffin cup, creating folds.
  3. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until golden and crisp. Let them cool completely.
Filling the Cups
  1. Spoon about 1 to 2 teaspoons of softened cream cheese into each baked cup.
  2. Top each with half a teaspoon of pepper jelly.
  3. Add optional toppings like green onions or bacon if desired.

Notes

For best results, fill the cups right before serving to maintain their crunchiness. Can be prepared ahead of time: bake cups and store, then mix filling the day before serving.
