Ingredients
  

Pretzel Crust
  • 2 cups Crushed pretzels Use small chunks for crunchiness.
  • ½ cup Butter, melted Helps bind the crust.
  • ¼ cup Sugar For sweetness in the crust.
Creamy Layer
  • 8 oz Cream cheese, softened Should be at room temperature.
  • ¼ cup Sugar For sweetness.
  • 8 oz Whipped topping Or homemade whipped cream.
Strawberry Layer
  • 6 oz Strawberry gelatin Can use other flavors like raspberry or cherry.
  • 2 cups Strawberries, fresh or properly drained frozen If using frozen, ensure they are well-drained.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and sugar. Mix well.
  3. Press the mixture firmly into a 9x13 baking dish and bake for 10 minutes. Allow to cool completely.
Cream Layer
  1. In another bowl, beat softened cream cheese with sugar until smooth.
  2. Fold in the whipped topping until fully combined.
  3. Spread the cream layer evenly over the cooled pretzel crust.
Strawberry Layer
  1. Prepare the strawberry layer by dissolving the gelatin in 2 cups of boiling water. Allow it to cool slightly.
  2. Stir in the strawberries and pour over the cream layer, ensuring to chill slightly.
  3. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.

Notes

For best results, chill layers between steps and ensure the cream layer reaches the edges to prevent bleeding. This dessert can be prepared the night before for ease.
