Method
Cooking the sausage
- Brown the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked, breaking it into small crumbles.
- Drain extra grease if needed.
Scrambling eggs
- Whisk eggs with a pinch of salt, pepper, and a splash of milk.
- Cook in a nonstick pan on medium low, stirring gently until just set.
Preparing rolls
- Keep the rolls connected if they come that way and slice them across the middle.
- Place the bottoms in a baking dish.
Assembling the rolls
- Layer sausage evenly, followed by scrambled eggs and cheese.
- Put the top slab of rolls back on.
Baking
- Melt butter and brush it all over the top. Optionally add garlic powder or everything seasoning.
- Bake at 350°F for 12 to 18 minutes, until cheese melts and everything is hot.
- If the tops brown too fast, loosely cover with foil.
Serving
- Let them sit for about 3 minutes before cutting to help the cheese settle.
Notes
These rolls store well in the fridge for up to 4 days. Wrap in foil or plastic before freezing for up to 2 months. Best reheated in the oven or air fryer.
