Ingredients

Base Ingredients
  • 1 cup Old fashioned oats Provides structure and makes the bites feel hearty.
  • 1/2 cup Nut butter (peanut butter or almond butter) For protein and binding the mixture.
  • 1/2 cup Protein powder (vanilla or chocolate) Choose based on preference.
  • 1/4 cup Honey or maple syrup Adds sweetness and stickiness.
  • 2 tablespoons Chia seeds or ground flax For extra fiber and nutrition.
  • 1/2 cup Mini chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate (optional) For added sweetness and flavor.
  • 1 pinch Salt Enhances flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract (optional) For additional flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Add oats, protein powder, chia seeds or flax, and salt into a bowl. Stir until combined.
  2. Add nut butter, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Mix until it starts looking like a thick dough.
  3. Fold in chocolate chips or any additional ingredients you are using.
  4. Chill the mixture for 10 to 15 minutes if it feels too sticky.
  5. Roll into bite-sized balls, roughly 1 tablespoon each.

Notes

Keep chilled in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days. For longer storage, freeze for 2 to 3 months. Wet your hands slightly before rolling to prevent sticking. If you want to adjust for kids or picky eaters, lean into the chocolate chip version first.
