Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Grab a 9×13-inch baking dish and pour in the melted butter.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
- Stir in the milk and vanilla until mostly smooth.
- Pour the batter over the melted butter, do not stir.
- Sprinkle the chopped pecans over the top.
- Sprinkle brown sugar over the entire mixture.
- Carefully pour the hot water over the top without stirring.
Baking
- Place the dish in the oven and bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
