Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 2 slices slices of good bread (sourdough, country loaf, or whatever you love)
  • 1 ball burrata (or split one big ball across both slices)
  • 1 ripe peach ripe peach, sliced
  • Olive oil for drizzling
  • Honey optional but highly recommended
  • Flaky salt
  • Black pepper
  • Fresh basil or mint optional, but great
  • Optional extras: prosciutto, chili flakes, balsamic glaze, toasted nuts

Method

Preparation
  1. Toast the bread until deeply golden so it can hold up to the burrata and peach juices.
  2. Add burrata by tearing it open and placing it on the warm toast. Let it sit for a minute to get slightly melty.
  3. Layer peach slices on top or to the side of the burrata. If using a juicy peach, fan the slices on top and allow the juice to soak in.
  4. Finish by drizzling olive oil, adding honey, flaky salt, black pepper, and any fresh herbs like basil or mint. Optionally, sprinkle chili flakes for heat.

Notes

Serve burrata at room temperature for best flavor. Pair the toast with something sweet and salty for balance.
