Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats Rolled oats give the best texture.
  • 1/2 cup milk of choice (dairy or non dairy) Use any preferred milk.
  • 1/4 cup yogurt Optional for extra creaminess.
  • 1-2 teaspoons chia seeds Optional for thickness.
  • 1-2 teaspoons sweetener (maple syrup, honey, or brown sugar) Add to taste.
  • 1 pinch salt Enhances flavor.
Flavor Variations
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla For Berry Vanilla flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon For Apple Cinnamon flavor.
  • 1/2 banana mashed For Banana Peanut Butter flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa powder For Chocolate Peanut Butter flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter For Banana Peanut Butter and Chocolate Peanut Butter flavors.
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest For Orange Cream flavor.
  • 1 spoon yogurt For Orange Cream flavor.
  • 1/4 cup diced apple For Apple Cinnamon flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a jar or bowl, combine oats, milk, yogurt, chia seeds, sweetener, and salt.
  2. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight.
  4. When ready to eat, add desired mix-ins or toppings.

Notes

For a more fun breakfast, try out different flavor variations or mix-ins. Store in the fridge and eat within 3-4 days for best texture. Keep toppings separate until ready to enjoy.
