  • 8 pieces Hot dogs (any kind you like)
  • 1 can Crescent roll dough One can is usually enough for 8 dogs
  • to taste Mustard or ketchup for mummy eyes
  • Optional: cheese slices, everything bagel seasoning, or a little melted butter

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to the temperature indicated on the crescent dough package.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  3. Unroll the crescent dough and pinch the seams for a more even sheet.
  4. Cut the dough into thin strips, aiming for 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch wide.
  5. Wrap each hot dog with dough strips, leaving a small gap near the top for the face area.
Baking
  1. Bake until the dough is puffed and golden, usually 10 to 14 minutes depending on your oven.
  2. Let them cool for a couple of minutes, then dot on eyes using mustard or ketchup.

Notes

If your dough starts getting sticky while wrapping, pop it back in the fridge for 5 minutes for easier handling. Tips include patting dry the hot dogs before wrapping to prevent sogginess and not overwrapping to avoid doughy spots.
