  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Oil or butter For browning the chops.
For the Sauce
  • 2 cloves Garlic Fresh is best, jarred works in a pinch.
  • 1 cup Chicken broth For building the saucy base.

  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese For added richness.
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning Plus optional fresh herbs like parsley or basil.
  • 1 pinch Red pepper flakes Optional flavor booster.
  • 1 squeeze Lemon juice Optional for added brightness.
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard Optional for tanginess.

Method

Preparation
  1. Pat the pork chops dry, then season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium to medium-high heat and add oil or butter.
  3. Sear the pork chops for a few minutes per side until nicely browned but not fully cooked.
  4. Move the chops to a plate and lower the heat slightly.
  5. Add garlic to the pan and stir for about 30 seconds to avoid burning.
  6. Pour in chicken broth and scrape up the browned bits.
  7. Stir in cream, parmesan, and herbs; allow sauce to gently bubble until slightly thickened.
  8. Return the pork chops to the pan and simmer until cooked through.
  9. Taste the sauce and adjust with additional lemon juice or pepper flakes if desired.

Notes

This dish pairs well with mashed potatoes, rice, or buttered noodles for soaking up the sauce. For storage, refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
