Easy Lavender Lemonade

A refreshing and slightly floral lemonade perfect for hot summer days, made with fresh lemon juice and lavender syrup.

Ingredients
  

For the lemonade
  • 5-7 lemons Fresh lemon juice (from real lemons) Juice around 5 to 7 lemons depending on size.
  • 1/2 cup Lavender syrup or homemade lavender simple syrup Start with a small amount and add more as needed.
  • 4 cups Cold water or sparkling water Use half sparkling water for bubbles.
  • lots cubes Ice Add plenty of ice.
  • 1 drop Purple food coloring or butterfly pea powder Optional for color enhancement.
For serving
  • few slices Lemon slices Optional garnish.
  • few buds Lavender buds Optional for garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Juice your lemons and strain the juice if desired.
  2. In a pitcher, stir together the lemon juice and lavender syrup.
  3. Add the cold water and stir again.
  4. Pour in lots of ice, then taste. Adjust sweetness with more syrup or sugar dissolved in warm water as needed.
  5. If you want bubbles, swap half the water for sparkling water right before serving.

Notes

Chill the lemonade for at least 30 minutes to blend flavors. Roll lemons on the counter before cutting for easier juicing.
