Easy Jalapeno Popper Dip

Ingredients
  

For the Dip
  • 8 oz cream cheese Full fat, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream Greek yogurt can be used for a lighter option
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise Helps with texture
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Brings flavor
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese Adds stretch
  • 2 medium jalapenos Chopped, fresh or pickled depending on taste preference
  • 2 green onions chopped For added flavor
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 1/2 cup cooked, crumbled bacon Optional, but adds a lot of flavor

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. In a bowl, mix together softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until smooth.
  3. Fold in shredded cheddar, mozzarella, jalapenos, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. If using, add bacon.
Baking
  1. Spread the mixture into a baking dish and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until hot and bubbly.
  2. Optionally, add a topping of extra cheese or breadcrumbs and bake for an additional 5 minutes until golden.
  3. Let it sit for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For optimal flavor and texture, use full-fat cream cheese and fresh ingredients. Consider removing the seeds from jalapenos for a milder dip.
