Ingredients
  

Pasta Ingredients
  • 8 oz Spaghetti, linguine, or ramen noodles Any preferred type of noodles
  • 3 Tbsp Hot honey Store-bought or regular honey with chili flakes/hot sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Butter or olive oil Butter gives richness; olive oil keeps it lighter
  • 2 cloves Fresh garlic, minced Garlic powder can be a substitute if needed
Flavor Enhancers
  • 2 Tbsp Soy sauce (or tamari) Pinch of salt and a squeeze of lemon can be used instead
  • 1 Tbsp Vinegar or lemon juice To add brightness
  • 1/2 tsp Red pepper flakes Optional for extra heat
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, optional Feta can also be used
  • 2 stalks Green onions or parsley, chopped For garnish
Protein Add-ins (Optional)
  • 1 cup Cooked ground beef, chicken, shrimp, or tofu Leftover rotisserie chicken works too

Method
 

Making the Sauce
  1. Melt butter or heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Sauté minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Stir in hot honey, soy sauce, and vinegar. Mix well.
  4. Remove from heat and set aside.
Cooking the Pasta
  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. Reserve a mug of pasta water before draining.
  3. Toss the hot pasta with the sauce, adding reserved pasta water gradually until the sauce is glossy and clings to the noodles.
Serving
  1. Serve immediately, garnished with Parmesan, green onions, and chili flakes if desired.

Notes

This pasta can be enjoyed hot or cold as a pasta salad. For milder flavors, use regular honey and fewer chili flakes.
