  • 2 tablespoons Vinegar White or apple cider vinegar works fine.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt For seasoning the pork.
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper For seasoning the pork.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red pepper flakes Optional for adding heat.

Method

Cooking the Pork Chops
  1. Season both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper.
  2. Set a skillet over medium-high heat and add a glug of oil.
  3. Once hot, add the pork chops into the skillet without crowding them.
  4. Cook on one side until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes, then flip and cook the other side.
  5. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set them aside.
Making the Sauce
  1. Lower the heat, add minced garlic to the same skillet, and let it sizzle without burning.
  2. Stir in honey, soy sauce, and vinegar, scraping up any brown bits.
  3. Let the sauce bubble for about a minute, then return the pork chops into the skillet, spooning the sauce over them.
  4. Simmer together for an additional 3 minutes until the sauce thickens and the pork is fully cooked.
Serving
  1. Serve the pork chops hot, drizzled with the sticky sauce.

Notes

Let the pork chops rest for a few minutes after cooking to retain juices. Can be reheated gently in a skillet with a splash of water. Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or roasted veggies.
