For the Sliders
  • 1 pack Hawaiian rolls 12 pack is perfect
  • 12 slices deli ham or turkey
  • 12 slices Swiss cheese or provolone/cheddar
For the Topping
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard for tang
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds optional
  • 1 teaspoon honey optional, for sweetness

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly butter or spray a 9x13 baking dish.
  2. Slice the rolls in one slab, keeping the pack connected. Cut across the middle to create a top and bottom sheet.
  3. Place the bottom sheet of rolls in the dish. Add a layer of ham followed by a layer of cheese. Repeat if desired, then put the top sheet of rolls back on.
  4. Melt the butter and mix in the Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and poppy seeds (if using). Add honey if desired.
  5. Pour the butter mixture over the tops of the rolls. Brush to ensure every corner is coated.
Baking
  1. Cover the dish with foil and bake for about 15 minutes or until the cheese melts.
  2. Remove the foil and bake uncovered for an additional 5 to 8 minutes until the tops are golden.
Serving
  1. Let the sliders rest for 5 minutes before slicing into individual sliders.
  2. Serve warm and enjoy!
